Lacy asked questions looking for a substantial response. Did she get one, or any? No. How do you continue to ask intelligent questions when you receive trite responses like, to paraphrase, "we are looking to help people communicate and connect." I mean, what does that mean? Nokia has a similar tagline. Facebook has a critical mass of people whom they cannot monetize. He had no response to privacy concerns - the main inhibitor to monetization - and his lack of charisma and vision is painful to watch.

How can you IPO when you make no money? MSFT's valuation certainly isn't based on cash flow, and seeing how much money Wall Street lost in the 1990s, I bet they will continue to value companies based on the bottom line and not the top line. Sheryl Sandberg has her work cut out for her, and Deluux and Ringside Networks are hot on her heels to distribute the best of Facebook to other websites.

Zuck -- the next Steve Jobs he is not. But a youthful face to lead Facebook to IPO tells a great story, one the press and the public will continue to flog.
