Eric,

Thanks for covering these terribly important issues in such a penetrating and analyzing way. This is very much about the future of journalism, which has until now has sustained itself by generating and brokering readership attention. At this time the whole news industry is holding its breath as their old attention business models are crumbling, and the new have yet to emerge.

For serious journalism to remain an attention business, it needs to find a way of gathering attention and broker it at a price that it sufficient, at the same time as the readership will not disagree. This is not obvious how it will happen.

Looking forward to your coming stories on this!

Scott, thanks for the note.

I understand that you're expanding beyond Facebook in your data gathering efforts. I'd said that, but I've added a couple lines to make that more clear.

Eric, Thanks for paying the attention. The only two things i'd want to add are:
(1) we're not dependent on FB for profiles in the way the article reads to me. We have a few other large contributors, which is critical for us. It's only people that we can pay for inventory and/or profile data that we'll build sustainable relationships with over time, and
(2) the $125k number covers a billion Guarantee pages. We'll hit 1.5B pages this month overall.
