We want to look at the virtual world as a base for skills training and integrate with real video clips plus interactive skills assessment. Does the IBM team and collaborators work in this space? Principle is bring the real world indoors onto desktop or wall through digital video - live or recorded, show it using video, then get your students to become avatars on screen and repeat what they saw, or test out different scenarios.

Comments? We are a provincial polytechnic in NZ with lots of reasons why people dont come to classrooms any more, and I am sure someone out there must have cracked the issues!

I guess this is too late to be an April Fool's Day joke? I mean seriously, it's hard enough to get everyone in a company to join a "popular" social network like LinkedIn.

I wonder.. this concept is very similar to an earlier article about Vivaty. I sense that there might be some clash between them? Perhaps they might integrate together?

I would imagine that a virtual space for corporations is a very profitable market and that Vivaty would want to penetrate this market. I guess that Vivaty is currently targeting the social networks, as seen on their front page with the "facebook coming to life" theme.
